Tavern Day: A Living History Celebration of Stacy's Tavern

Presented by Glen Ellyn Historical Society at Stacy's Tavern Museum

Come see what life was like for the early settlers of Glen Ellyn on the same site where early residents lived! Try your hand at 1840's life. There will be live farm animals, craft-making for kids, make your own candles, corn shelling, apple peeling, help with vegetable harvest, pioneer games and toys, how to rope a bed, do laundry 1840’s style, experience 1840's school in an outdoor classroom, make rope, tour the Tavern, and much, much more!

Admission Info

Tickets are $8 for Adults and $4 for Children ages 3-17.
GEHS Member tickets are $6 for Adults and $3 for Children ages 3-17.
All children 3 and under are free.

Tickets will be sold in advance at Stacy’s Corner’s Store, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society’s gift shop, as well as during the event.

Parking Info

The Museum is located at 557 Geneva Road in Glen Ellyn, just west of Main Street, in the “Stacy’s Corners” or “Five Corners” neighborhood of north Glen Ellyn. There is free parking behind the museum and at the History Center, 800 N. Main St. Glen Ellyn. The parking lot behind the museum is not paved. Unless you need to park there for accessibility reasons, we encourage you to park at the History Center. Come into the gift shop at the History Center on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from April 1 thru mid-December and let the cashier know you would like a tour. The museum is closed in the winter.
The back entrance of the museum has a ramp that makes it wheelchair accessible. However, there are stairs to the second floor of the museum; currently, no elevator is available. The entire first floor is accessible. The History Center has wheelchair accessible rest rooms.
