Apollo 11 - One Giant Leap

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first moon walk on July 20, 1969, actor Terry Lynch will be portraying astronaut Neil Armstrong. He will recount the lead up to the first moon walk, as well as a series of other "firsts" associated with the mission, such as the first color television transmission from Earth and the first time a U.S. Dept. of Customs form was completed from another realm!

About our actor: Terry Lynch has over 20 years’ experience as a professional actor in Chicagoland. He has trained at, among others: Northern Illinois University, Second City Training Center, and Improv Olympic. He has been seen with Emerald City Theater, spent seven seasons with AlphaBet Soup Productions, and has performed in professional theater, radio, and television around Chicago. Terry has performed at theaters around Chicago including Circle Theatre, Donny’s Skybox, and National Pastime. He has been heard in radio spots for St. Paul Federal in Chicago and St. Anthony's Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. He is also a regular contributor to the WGN Morning Show. Tickets are $5 and will be sold in advance at Stacy’s Corner’s Store, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society’s gift shop, as well as at the door the evening of the event. Refreshments will be served.
