The Tower Chorale, a 90-voice choir based in Western Springs, presents Dvořák & Pärt Masterpieces.
The performance begins with Pärt's Salve Regina (Hail, Queen), originally composed in 2001 for choir and organ. In 2011, Pärt arranged the composition for choir, celesta and string orchestra for the celebration of 150 years of Italian unity. The second half of the concert will feature Dvořák's Mass in D Major, originally intended for organ, solo voices and a small choir. The work was given its final shape in 1892 when Dvořák arranged his Mass for a symphony orchestra. Join the Tower Chorale, under the direction of Patrick Godon, for these exquisitely rich and melodic masterworks.
