Nonword and Upward is the annual juried exhibition open to all current students. Submitted work is judged and curated by a professional artist who presents awards to four exceptional artists. Additionally, the President’s Art Commission selects three works to receive purchase awards and to be added to Wheaton College’s permanent art collection to be displayed throughout campus in the years to come. Nonword and Upward showcases the high-quality work that students are making in a variety of media and helps students to learn about the practical components of being a professional artist.
This exhibit will be displayed in the Walford Main and Small Galleries located on the first floor of Adams Hall. A reception will be held on the first floor of Adams Hall from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, February 28. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Adams Hall is located in the center of campus, north of Blanchard Hall, at 501 College Avenue in Wheaton.
