The West Suburban Symphony’s chamber orchestra, led by internationally acclaimed conductor Peter Lipari, will perform Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons violin concerto and Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.
Four teen violinists from the Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Naperville Suzuki School are featured as soloists in The Four Seasons, the well-known Baroque composition from the early 1720s. The soloists, all high school seniors, are Lauren Culver, Lazaro Esquivel, Christoph Gaffud, and Amelia Korbitz.
“Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, completed in 1812, is intense and energetic,” says Symphony president Richard Lukes, “And it’s full of memorable tunes. It’s the perfect complement to Vivaldi’s music.”
Lipari, who has led orchestras, bands, choruses, and musical stage productions in the United States and abroad to rave reviews for decades, has served as the Society’s music director since 2001. He is a Plainfield resident.
