After receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees in art from Northern Illinois University, she taught art in the public school system.  Since moving to Wheaton, she has had the opportunity to share her knowledge with a wonderful community of artists at the DuPage Art League, teaching classes in fundamental drawing, figure drawing, portrait studies and pastel painting.  In addition, Ellen has provided demos and workshops for various regional art leagues and guilds, and has created portraits of many area families.
