After years of plein air painting, studio time and at the encouragement of Charles Vickery, Eric went to sea working on fishing trawlers, lobster boats, and tall ships.  The experience gave him insight into the way man and sea interplay, understanding the anatomy of the oceans under different conditions, along with why ships are built the way they are and how they work.

Over the years, Eric's art work has made its way into museums, tall ship organizations, TV programs and art collectors.  His paintings are available in a number of art galleries across the United States.
