Current Albright-inspired artist-in-residence Nick Gurley will also be in the art studio working on his Ivan-inspired pieces. Learn more about his work and this program which is made possible through a City of Warrenville Hotel Motel Tax Fund Grant.
Nick is a self taught traditional media artist who paints in oils and acrylics in a dreamy, haunting, realist manner. Along with his monthly submissions in Aurora’s ArtBar pop up shows, he works heavily with Chicago musicians creating album and t-shirt art. Nick has also created artwork for Chicagoland music festivals. His personal work grows from introspection and social observation which he explores and shares through his visual art. Nick works at Fermilab and lives in Warrenville with his wife and their two children.
