Presented by Wheaton College Wade Center at Marion E. Wade Center of Wheaton College

Archivist Laura Schmidt will explore author J.R.R. Tolkien’s early years and the context of his burgeoning relationships and writing influences, particularly in the midst of World War I. Tolkien’s love of art, reading, language, and the fellowship of community all provide engaging insights into the areas that shaped his later life and writing career.
