by Larry Shue Grades: 9th – 12th
Hysterical comedy begins with the melancholy and shy Englishman Charlie Baker who joins his friend Froggy Le Sueur on a business trip landing at a fishing lodge in Georgia. Charlie doesn’t want to talk with strangers, so Froggy tells his hosts that he is from an exotic country and knows no English. Charlie is surprised to find his hosts are wonderful people, but he’s also privy to a devious plot being hatched. He realizes that he must step up and be the hero. The Foreigner is a hilarious look at the upset of intolerance and bias, where resourcefulness and kindness prevail. Produced by the College of DuPage Theater Department featuring COD students.
