Eric Nils Forsberg is a classic marine artist, an oil painter in the spirit of some of the great maritime artists of the 20th century. He will demonstrate the creation of a nautical oil painting. More about Eric: a turning point came when he enrolled in a painting course with esteemed maritime/seascape artist Charles Vickery at the age of 18. After years of studio and on the spot painting, and with the encouragement of Charles Vickery, Eric went to sea to work on fishing trawlers, lobster boats and tall ships. This experience has given Eric insight into the way that man and water interplay. Painting for 40 years, his work is displayed in fine galleries, museums, and invitational and juried exhibitions across the country. Following Eric’s demo, his painting will be auctioned to a lucky winner! $10 visitor/materials fee. Contact Bev at bpetrosius@gmail.com or 630-624-9545 for details.
