R.J. Lindsey portrays the founder of Oldsmobile, R.E. Olds and narrates a slide program with stories about early auto inventors.
Lindsey, dressed in duster, cap, gloves and goggles, will portray the founder of Oldsmobile, R.E. Olds. He will discuss the early auto inventors: Benz, Olds, Winton, Ford, Dodge; auto racing at Evanston, Elgin and Cleveland with Barney Oldfield and Bad Luck Baker, and the first cross country trips by car with Alice Ramsey driving in 1909 and Bud the Bulldog crossing in 1903. (He didn't drive!) He will also take a look at the Burma Shave signs which once dotted U.S. roadways.
