Organized by the Downtown Wheaton Association (DWA), Dig Wheaton is a shovel decorating contest taking place this summer in Downtown Wheaton. More than 40 Downtown businesses have taken a plain shovel and crafted it into something colorful and unique. Participating businesses decorated shovels to match the theme of their business and are vying for your vote. Some shovels may be in front of the business, some may even be inside the business itself.

We need the public's assistance to pick a winner. From June 1 through July 30, visit Downtown Wheaton to see the shovels then head to Downtown Wheaton Association on Facebook and LIKE the shovel you want to win. You may choose as many shovels as you want.

Dig Wheaton shovels will be on display through July 30. A guide map can be downloaded here or picked up at participating businesses and the DWA offices at 108 Wesley Street.
