Oesterle Library Gallery: Mariam Pare

Presented by North Central College Fine & Performing Arts at North Central College - Oesterle Library

Pare is a visual artists, mouth painter, speaker and advocate for people with spinal cord injuries. Pare is a member of the Association of Mouth and Food Painting Artists (MDPA) as well as the Associate Board at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), helping with events like Art in Motion to raise funds for RIC's art therapy program. Pare's artistic interests are constantly morphing as she likes to experiment with traditional oil painting and modern mixed media techniques. Pare's painting and other works have been exhibited internationally and are in numerous private collections.

This exhibit is among many ongoing programs at North Central College to enrich and broaden the cultural and academic outlook for the College and community. North Central offers a variety of venues accommodating a rich range of local and world-class events, performances and space needs for the public.
