Bring your blankets, baskets, and lawn chairs for these FREE performances. Thursday nights this summer from June 28-July 26 at 7 pm, enjoy live music performances spanning a range or genres. All performances are at the Central Park Performing Arts Pavilion, 1500 Forest Gate Road, Oak Brook. Food will be available for purchase. Concerts are rain or shine. If inclement weather is forecast (rain, heat, etc) performances will be moved to the gyms at the Family Recreation Center. Updates will be made the day of the performance. You can call the Beach Bum Band a “Parrothead band,” because the beach, warm weather, and the island themes parallel much of the ambience that Parrotheads enjoy. The band certainly plays Buffett favorites, but you’re just as likely to hear music from Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Paul Simon, Dick Dale, Jerry Jeff Walker, and many others. They offer variety and entertainment for everyone who enjoys warm weather.
