Award Winning Artist L.J. Slavin in concert

L.J. Slavin is an award winning multi-instrumentalist well versed in a wide variety of styles. Some of the instruments L.J. plays include flute, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, pennywhistle, banjo, guitar, autoharp, jew\'s harp, dulcimer and musical saw.

He has performed in almost every venue imaginable including festivals, concert halls, schools, pubs and much more. The fall of 2015 finds L.J. working with Lookingglass Theatre in Chicago, performing in the premier production of "Treasure Island," directed by Tony award winner Mary Zimmerman. In the spring of 2012, he was musical director and lead musician in the world premiere Steppenwolf Theatre production of "The March."  L.J.'s theatrical career has taken him to Broadway where he performed in a Tony Award winning production (Grapes of Wrath, best play, 1990), as well as Equity house theatres across the country and England. Some of the theatre companies he has worked with include Steppenwolf, Goodman, Northlight, Chicago Shakespeare, Denver Center, Virginia Stage, Goodspeed, Cincinnati Playhouse, LaJolla Playhouse, the National Theatre of London, and more.
