In this comedic play by Noel Coward, a novelist and socialite, Charles, invites an eccentric medium into his life to learn more about séances for his upcoming book. The medium, Madame Arcati, unknowingly brings back the ghost of his first wife, Elvira. Elvira makes it her mission to cause problems and attempts to disrupt his marriage to his current wife, Ruth.
