The Downers Grove Choral Society, under the direction of Artistic Director John Patrick Rakes, is continues its exciting 59th Season on Sunday, February 11, 2018. A Dvorak Celebration will feature Dvorak works Mass in D, Songs of Nature plus Psalm 149 in its native Czech language. There will be a pre-concert discussion at 3:15 p.m., followed by the 4:00 p.m. concert.
Downers Grove Choral Society, anchored in Downers Grove, draws its members from around the Chicagoland area. Our membership extends well beyond Downers Grove, including such communities as Western Springs, Elgin, Woodridge, Lemont, Wheaton, Frankfort, Naperville, Carol Stream, Lombard, Bolingbrook, Villa Park and Willowbrook, to name just a few.
All 2017-2018 Season concerts will be presented at Downers Grove First United Methodist Church, 1032 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove, IL.
