ABOUT YOUTH SYMPHONY: Youth Symphony of DuPage is dedicated to bringing advanced ensemble training and performance opportunities to over 100 talented young musicians from throughout DuPage County and nearby towns. We are not only in DuPage County. Our Concert Orchestra members are primarily advanced grade-school and junior-high school-age musicians. The Symphony Orchestra members are junior-high and high school instrumentalists. YSDP (Youth Symphony of DuPage) is a unique opportunity for us musicians to tackle great music and achieve musical excellence.

Our concert repertoires are drawn from the standard classical literature to advanced works. Ensemble opportunities are available for our members to showcase their talents in smaller groups with performances at concerts and throughout the area.

Youth Symphony of DuPage offers an annual solo Concerto Competition giving the members of both orchestras the opportunity to master concertos and solo performance. The winners perform their concertos at our May pieces at our subsequent concerts.

Our concerts bring the drama and pleasure of fine music to people of all ages. And young people in our audience get to experience orchestral music first-hand – performed by their peers. The Youth Symphony of DuPage often features professional soloists at one, or more, of our concerts each season to inspire our young musicians and musical appreciation for our audience.
