The Elmhurst Art Museum is seeking a part-time manager that would identify and help cultivate key institutional supporters to raise significant funds for a variety of needs including general operating to multi-year restricted grants. The manager would collaborate closely with the museum’s Executive Director to research potential community partners, develop content for proposals, and help connect the museum with granting agencies in support of the museum’s priorities.

The best candidate would be able to expand the museum’s current portfolio of potential funder sources through communication and cultivation, especially in DuPage County. The manager would have regular meetings with the museum’s Executive Director to develop strategies for future partnerships and expand the current reach of the organization.

The museum is seeking a highly qualified applicant for this position with 7 to 10 years of related experience, significant accomplishments in raising foundation gifts, grant writing, and other portfolio management. Excellent writing and diplomacy skills are required in order to best advocate for the organization with external agencies. A knowledge of and passion for contemporary art is a plus. Independent time management and organizational abilities are needed in order to manage a number of deadlines and details. Salary based on experience.
