Naperville-area artists are invited to participate in Naperville Art League’s 15th annual Public Art Competition. Artists from the community are invited to submit one entry per person under the theme “Hidden Detail”. The piece must be original in design, concept, and execution. It can be any media or mixed-media, and either 2D or 3D. Size restrictions apply. Deadline for submissions is April 4.

The show will be April 10 through 28 at the Naperville Fine Art Center & Gallery, 508 N. Center St., Naperville 60563. An artists’ reception and awards presentation will be Sunday, April 15 from 2 to 4 pm at the Gallery.

Two age categories for entries are high school/college age and adult. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show ($350) and Awards of Excellence ($100). Honorable Mentions will win ribbons. The entry fee is $15 for non-members and $10 for Naperville Art League members. Entries must be accompanied by an artist’s statement (100 words maximum).

Along with the show, Naperville Art League is hosting a food drive to benefit Loaves & Fishes Community Services. Non-perishable food items may be brought to the Gallery throughout the show. Gallery hours are 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Friday and 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday.
