I’ve been writing songs for about the past 25 years and am currently one of three co-coordinators of the Chicago Chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), an organization that advocates for both professional and amateur songwriters. Our chapter holds monthly meetings, during which we discuss various aspects of both the art and business of songwriting. The chapter also conducts some special events, featuring visits by professional hit songwriters.

I've been fortunate enough to have some of songs performed and recorded by folksinger Dan Zahn. In addition, my song Courage To Let Go won the County/Cowboy Category at the 2008 Art in Your Ear Songwriting Contest in Batavia, Illinois.

Currently retired, I play guitar and sing as a volunteer for hospice patients with dementia at an assisted-living facility in St. Charles. I am also a volunteer with Open Heart Magic and do close-up magic for children at an area hospital.
