Our History
When James Lawrence Nichols died in August 1895, he left $10,000 to Naperville, a newly organized as a city, to establish a library so that no child would be without books as he had been. Today there are three Library buildings throughout the City of Naperville, and residents can access books, music, and videos from anywhere they can connect to the Internet.
