Lisle Community Band was established in 1987, with the purpose of providing high quality musical performances for the residents and guests of the Village of Lisle. The philosophy behind the existence of the Lisle Community Band is to provide an avenue of musical expression and continuous education for the instrumentalists in the community. Lisle Community Band was established in 1987, with the purpose of providing high quality musical performances for the residents and guests of the Village of Lisle. The philosophy behind the existence of the Lisle Community Band is to provide an avenue of musical expression and continuous education for the instrumentalists in the community. The band allows them the opportunity to continue playing with a music ensemble.
The band experience allows musicians to have fun making music together; develop musical talents; and also promotes musical and social exchange. While some band members are accomplished active performers, most are teachers, business professionals, retired individuals, or students, all with a shared passion for learning and performing the finest musical literature.
