Zazz

As part of the Maple Street Chapel Variety Series, ZAZZ  presents a classical/jazz concert that melds the genres of classical music and the jazz idiom. Zazz creatively interweaves the music and creates a unique energized sound. Grooves switch from swing to Latin to straight ahead. The versatile musicians switch from vocals to clarinet or sax, and meld classic tunes into beautiful tapestries. Deb Zelman, clarinet, sax, and vocals, Gail Sonkin, piano, Julian Webb, bass and Eric Pancer, drums.

Hear Satie blend into Horace Silver, Faure meld with “Bessame Mucho,” De Falla morph into Blues, Gershwin, and much more.  This fun filled concert is not to be missed.
