Winter Spring Reading at the Wade

The Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College will host a book discussion group on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m., January 12 through April 27, on G.K. Chesterton’s Orthodoxy, followed by Charles Williams’ novel All Hallows Eve and then George MacDon
In Orthodoxy, G.K. Chesterton presents his own provocative defense for his Christian faith, affirming its indispensable relation to Fairyland, which, he asserts “is nothing but the sunny country of common sense.”
All Hallow’s Eve is Charles Williams’ final fantasy novel and the only one that would have been read to the Inklings. In the story, two girls are accidentally killed and find themselves in a no-man’s land between heaven and hell. The unfolding plot shows them making choices

Books will be available for purchase at the Wade Center Bookshop. The discussion groups will be held in the Marion E. Wade Center’s classroom from 10-11 a.m. and are free and open to the public. Advance registration is appreciated.
