Join WDCB for a special screening of Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends!

Bennett’s musical accomplishments as a hit maker are many, and his interactions with jazz giants like Bill Evans, Duke Ellington and Count Basie have been plentiful too. He’s also led an amazing life outside of music. Bennett was a foot soldier in the US Army’s 63rd Infantry Division as the unit fought its way through Germany in 1945 and helped liberate concentration camps as the war ended. In 1965, Bennett walked in the Selma-to-Montgomery March alongside Martin Luther King Jr. to support the civil rights movement. He’s also a skilled painter, and has remained active as a visual artist all through the years. This excellent documentary film brings together archival footage, along with conversations and concert performances to tell his story.

Tickets can be purchased for $10 each at the door.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The film will be shown at the College of DuPage, in the Student Resource Center (SRC), Room 2000 (in the Jack H. Turner Conference Center – located on the north side of the SRC). Use parking lot FAWELL C, and enter through doors marked SRC1.  The Conference Center is located up the stairs to the right.  There is also an elevator at the entrance.
