Unveiling: Textile Added to Downers Grove Public Library's Permanent Collection

The Downers Grove Public Library Foundation is thrilled to host Chicago artist Melissa Leandro, whose woven and embroidered textile will be installed at the Downers Grove Public Library.

Join us to hear the artist’s inspiration and process for this dynamic piece we’re proud to introduce. Leandro also will share her travels and discoveries and how they impact our understanding of place and identity.

DGPL will host an unveiling Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m., in the lobby, where the art will be accessible to everyone. The unveiling is free to the public; no tickets necessary.
