The Women Who Built Hollywood

Film historian Dr. Annette Bochenek presents the lives and legacies of some of classic Hollywood’s female directors and stars who possessed a keen sense of business and innovation in the early days of film.

Annette Bochenek, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and Business Information Specialist at Purdue University. She is also an archivist and film historian of Hollywood’s Golden Age. She manages the Hometowns to Hollywood blog and lecture series, exploring the legacies and hometowns of Golden Age stars. She has been featured on Turner Classic Movies.
