Summer 2019 Series:
July 25: The 911 Mambo Orchestra is a 20-piece Palladium-style Mambo Band. With multiple rows of brass including a row of Saxophones, a row of Trumpets, and a row of Trombones, this band makes a festival jump!
They play original arrangements by Angel Melendez and some of the music of Tito Puente, Tito Rodriguez & Perez Prado. Angel’s bands play an array of Latin music from the modern tropical sounds of today to the most traditional hard-hitting Mambo of the 50’s. As one of the top Latin bands in Chicago you can see them perform often at nightclubs, festivals and the some of the best venues in Chicago like: The Chicago Symphony Center, The House of Blues, The Taste of Chicago, Chicago Summerdance Program, Viva Chicago, Fiestas Boricuas & Tribune’s Rock the River Festival, most of the local dance clubs and many private corporate programs.
