The Downers Grove Choral Society continues its 64th Season with the concert A Choral Bouquet

The Downers Grove Choral Society, with Artistic Director John Patrick Rakes, will continue its 64th Season Sunday, February 19, 2023 with the concert A Choral Bouquet. The concert features a collection of short works celebrating the imagery of nature, flowers and love including those by Haydn, Britten, Rutter, Walker, Whitacre, Billy Joel and others

A Choral Bouquet will be presented at Downers Grove First United Methodist Church, 1032 Maple Avenue, Downers Grove, IL. There will be a pre-concert discussion at 3:15 p.m., followed by the 4:00 p.m. concert.

Downers Grove Choral Society, anchored in Downers Grove, draws its members from around the Chicagoland area. Our membership extends well beyond Downers Grove, including such communities as Western Springs, Elgin, Woodridge, Lemont, Wheaton, St. Charles, Naperville, Lisle, Lombard, Aurora, Villa Park, Darien and Willowbrook, to name just a few.

The concert venue policy is to follow the recommendations established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), which recommends that people wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by knowing the current COVID-19 community level where they live and personal level of risk when gathering indoors.
