GreenMan Theatre will present the powerful drama “The Diary of Anne Frank” this fall. The play, by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman, is based upon “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl.”
The play takes us to July 1942, when Anne Frank and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam with another family. Soon they are joined by a Jewish dentist, also seeking safety from the Nazis. For over two years, the eight survive with the help of Otto Frank’s business associates, who bring supplies and news of the war. The production opens Friday, September 28 and closes October 14. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:00. Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. School or other groups should contact the theatre to inquire about group rates. There is ample free parking onsite but seating is limited.
