Jeffrey Panko and Timothy Archbold
Summer Music at Bethel will feature the cello sonatas of Beethoven in a two-concert celebration, live and in person at Bethel United Church of Christ in Elmhurst.
Artists are Timothy Archbold, cello and Music at Bethel Artistic Director Jeffrey Panko, pianist. The five cello sonatas of Beethoven wonderfully showcase the development of Beethoven’s compositional style from his early to late period writings, as the first was written in 1796, and the last in 1815. The first concert on July 24th will feature Sonata 1 in F major, Op. 5 No. 1 and Sonata 5 in D major, Op. 102 No. 2.
