What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with love songs? The Zazz quartet put together a heart felt live stream concert for DuPage Symphony’s Sunday Serenade Series.
ZAZZ has been together over ten years and has evolved into the current quartet. ZAZZ performs throughout the area, but due to the pandemic has been limited to mostly live stream events.
How does a song say I love you? Sometimes with lush harmonies, moving lyrics, or slow sentimental melodies. The concert combines all of the possibilities into a beautiful loved themed set. From classic ballads, such as My Funny Valentine and Unforgettable, to hot and subtle Latin grooves in Corcovado and the The Shadow of your Smile, to upbeat love celebrations in My Cherie Amour and There will never be Another You, ZAZZ has an exciting program planned.
ZAZZ prides itself in its innovative approach to music. All the performers, although performing in a jazz style, are classically trained, and bring a unique sound to well known tunes. The unique arrangements, groove switches and straight-ahead American Songbook jazz present a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
