Through discussion and demonstration, Rebecca Tulloch traces the origins of the American Spiritualism movement which promoted the belief that the living could communicate with the dead.
The American Spir1tualism movement can be first traced to the year 1848 and the village of Hydesville, N.Y. where two teenaged sisters, Maggie and Kate Fox, claimed that they had communicated with the ghost of a man murdered at the house years before their family moved in.
