Opening Reception: Joe Ruck at Gary Brown Art Gallery

Joe Ruck is a Brayer painter and sculptor of bronze, steel and wood. Come and be dazzled at this master artist’s art display of painting and sculptures. From Rolling Meadows, IL. Joe’s bold paintings capture glimpses of life from the Chicagoland area. His subjects are wide ranging, from people, animals and landscapes to structures and still life. His sculptures are built from weathered wooden palettes and rusted pieces of steel. These castoff materials are reborn as primitive animal warriors possessing an underlying dignity of spirit. Joe received his formal training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and attended workshops at the Palette and Chisel Academy in Chicago.
