Nature’s Beauty, Watercolors and Pastels by Vicki Liszewski

From an early age I loved observing, painting and drawing nature. I believe the essential part of being an artist is learning to “see.” In my art I try to express the joy I get from seeing the play of light on a landscape, the wonder felt when observing the detail in a seemingly simple flower or seed pod. The process of observing and then trying to capture what I feel about the subject is a continuing learning process that I love. I want to share the wonder of what I see.

Vicki is a member of the DuPage Art League, the Nature Artists Guild of the Morton Arboretum and the Chicago Pastel Painters. Her work has won awards at the Danada Nature Art Show, the DuPage Art League and been featured in the “Nature Artists Quarterly” of the Nature Artists Guild of the Morton Arboretum.
