Naperville Woman's Club hosts a ClaySpace Ceramic Trunk Sale

The Naperville Woman’s Club has invited ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center to host a ceramic sale on the site of their Old Stone Church clubhouse at 14 S. Washington Street in Naperville.

The sale is a way for the Naperville Woman’s Club to continue its support of local artists during the unprecedented COVID19 pandemic, which forced the cancellation of the Naperville Fine Art and Artisan Fair in June.  The ceramic sale is a collaboration between the two non-profits.  The Woman’s Club and ClaySpace have consistently partnered through the years on The Empty Bowls Project which raises money for local food pantries.

This outdoor “trunk” sale will feature 12 ceramic artists who will be physically separated in accordance with pandemic social distancing requirements.  Masks are required for all shoppers, and hand sanitizer will be available for all.

Shoppers can expect to see plenty of beautiful, unique, and creative pottery pieces.  The artists will have functional ware in addition to decorative and sculptural pieces for display.  Pieces are made from clay and “thrown” on a wheel or hand built and fired in a kiln to temperatures up to 2000 degrees.  This gives the pieces an amazing depth of color and design.

Free parking is available in the Van Buren Parking deck across the street from the clubhouse.
