Latin American Marketplace Comes to Fox Valley Mall

The DuPage Hispanic Alliance is hosting the Midwest’s largest artisan Latin American Marketplace at Fox Valley Mall, December 16-17. Find authentic, unique, and rare items from various countries south of the border. Vendors will sell everything from hand-crafted clothing, artisan jewelry, bi-lingual literature, mouth-watering pastries and more. This is not any artisan market; it is a one-of-a-kind experience that usually requires a passport.

Spend the day and enjoy activities throughout the mall, including Lotería (Mexican bingo), sugar skull painting and photo opportunities. Beautiful and creative alebrijes (brightly colored Mexican folk art sculptures of mythical creatures) by Gloria Contreras of Xicantl will be displayed. Come curious and leave inspired.

Whether you sell alebrijes made in Mexico, alpaca slippers from Peru, coffee from Nicaragua, chocolate from Ecuador, molas from Panama or are a local artist whose work represents this rich culture, the DuPage Hispanic Alliance would like you to be a part of this market. Vendor pricing is very reasonable, and space is limited. The Fox Valley Mall is Illinois’ third largest mall and is located on Rt.59, a high-traffic area, especially during the holiday season.
