Jim Gill Family Concert Sing-a-thon - CPC Concert Series

Jim Gill is the family entertainment specialist. Anyone who has ever attended one of Jim Gill’s concerts knows that rather than performing for the children, parents, and grandparents, he leads them to sing and play together. Each event is more than a show to watch. It is an opportunity for family play! This unique focus on family play and interactions is what sets Jim Gill apart from other children’s musicians and authors and reflects his graduate studies in child development. For over 20 years Jim has engaged families in joyful, energizing play in order to inspire them to continue to play at home.

​What is a Jim Gill Sing-a-Long???

Jim Gill is a musician and author known for celebrating active play. In concert, Jim strums energizing rhythms on his banjo while everyone sings, claps, dances and spins along to his silly and inspiring musical games.  Each concert is more than a show to watch – it is an opportunity for family play!

This concert is part of Jim’s ongoing celebration of the release of his newest collection of recordings.  The three CDs are called Jim Gill’s Most Celebrated Songs and are filled with his best and most active music play.  Jim promises, in concert, to share a non-stop selection of sing-alongs, dance-alongs, finger plays and tongue twisters.  And he will feature a read-along and sing-along of, at least, one of his musical books!

The concert will feature Jim’s ‘Silly Dance Contest,” his jazzy “One From the Left” finger play and many more opportunities for children, parents and grandparents to sing and play together!
