JESUS REVOLUTION is the true story of one young hippie’s quest in the 1970s for belonging and purpose that leads not only to peace, love, and rock and roll, but that sets into motion a new counterculture crusade—a Jesus Movement—changing the course of history. In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to a JESUS REVOLUTION that changed the world.
This event will feature a Q&A with New York Times best selling author, Ellen Vaughn. Ms. Vaughn co-wrote the book, Jesus Revolution: How God Transformed an Unlikely Generation and How He Can Do It Again Today, with Greg Laurie that the movie is based on.
