Japanese Papermaking

Make colorful, textured paper using eastern fibers in this Japanese papermaking workshop.

We will work with the three main fibers that are used: Gampi, Kozo and Mitsumata. These materials make lovely textured papers with long fibers. We will add inclusions of dried organic material, dyed fibers, silk thread and more. Each student will walk away with at least 20 sheets of colorful and unique paper.
