After three decades of weaving ‘flat’ cloth, Dianne’s extensive exploration into what she named “crimp cloth” opened up a whole new world of weaving possibilities.

Take your fiber art in a new direction, creating “crimp cloth” in an in-person, on-loom workshop with Dianne Totten. Using a variation of woven shibori for warp or weft, you will create fabric with permanently crimped designs that retain memory even when washed. Apply this technique to any threading; understand the thought process that leads to endless possibilities with this “magic cloth.”  Participants will draft, weave, and crimp their samples in class.
