Holiday Exhibit: The History of Popeil and Ronco

Discover the unique Chicago story of the inventions and products created by the Popeil and Ronco companies which were heavily marketed as great Christmas gifts from the 1950s to the 1970s. Chicago Cultural Historian, Tim Samuelson, author of the book, “But Wait, There’s More,” presents this wonderful world of kitschy products “you didn’t know you needed.” Produced by the Elmhurst History Museum, this fun-filled interactive exhibit feature amazingly fun products including the Pocket Fisherman, the Chop-O-Matic, Veg-O-Matic, Mr. Microphone and so much more!
