Elmhurst College Theatre: Thark

Lady Benbow is out of town, and Sir Benbow of Thark Hall has invited over a young lady for a questionable evening alone. This comedy brings all the wacky craziness of Thark Hall to modern audiences.

Sir Benbow’s wife is out of town and he has invited the beautiful Cherry for a questionable evening alone. But Lady Benbow has returned! His nephew is quick to not think too quickly— “This is Cherry—she’s going to buy the house!” Oh, and the place might be haunted!   Confused? So are we! Ben Travers was the most prolific playwright of farce in the 1920s and ’30s, and this new adaptation brings all the wacky craziness of Thark Hall to modern audiences.
