Downers Grove Summer Concert Series: One Night Band

The FREE concerts will feature rock, country, blues and oldies. Watch the concerts in person at Fishel Park!

Doors open and food and beverage sales begin at 6pm each Tuesday. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs or blankets!

May 23: One Night Band –  One Night Band offers a night of entertainment that is both unique and unrivaled. Sure, ONB can play the standard “wedding band” tunes, but they can also bust out today’s Top 40s hits, Motown, 80s, Hip Hop, Slow Jams, Reggae, Country, Soul and other memorable music from the past six decades.

June 27: The Ron Burgundys – If the sounds of Toto, Hall & Oates, Paul Simon, and Billy Joel tickle your brain and get your toe a tappin, you’ve stumbled into the right place.

July 11: Hifi Superstar – Remember when you were a kid and you got your first radio?  You took a musical journey as you discovered all the music that was at your fingertips. That’s what a HiFi Superstar show is like; with their well constructed medleys which includes your favorite dance & party rock songs, spanning from the 70’s through today. You will surely make new memories to the music that you love.  Come join us with your friends and family and let’s get this party started!

July 18: Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute – “Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute” is the ultimate tribute to the music of ABBA – sure to capture the hearts of fans and audiences of all ages! This live show is full of musical precision, fabulous flair and fashion, and promises a mesmerizing ABBA experience for every Chiquitita, Super Trouper, Fernando, and Dancing Queen around!

July 25: No Turn on Red – No Turn On Red is a solid funk band based in Chicago that delivers thick killer grooves with an injection of New Orleans brass band flare. The bands’ influences include the Meters, Rebirth Brass Band, James Brown, Jimmy Hendrix, The Dirty Dozen, Lettuce, Tower of Power, Galactic, and the great Stevie Wonder. Since its inception in 2013, No Turn On Red’s mission has been to produce high energy shows with a provocative mix of styles that inconspicuously blend old school with the new kool.

August 1: Billy Elton – Billy Elton celebrates the music of two of the greatest singers, pianists, and songwriters in pop music history – Billy Joel and Elton John. Led by Reid Spears on the piano and lead vocals, this 8-piece band takes you on a timeless journey through the catalogs of these two musical giants.

August 8: The Mackenzie O’Brien Band – The Mackenzie O’Brien Band has defied odds by quickly becoming Chicagoland’s #1 young country band.  In spite of being young (24 to 34 years old) and female led, the band has moved from small to bigger bars and festivals including their headlining fests in four states.

August 15: Valius – Featuring unmatched stage energy, unbelievable guitars, soaring vocals and a tight rhythm section, Valius brings musical adventurism as we’ve curated a massive list of classic hits from the ’60’s through today. Rock, pop, country, grunge, rap and even two albums worth of original music to round it out.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and beverages to the event. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Onsite food and beverage sales will begin at 6pm each evening.

A valid driver’s license or state ID is required for ALL participants ages 21 years or older wishing to purchase and consume adult beverages. All individuals consuming adult beverages must wear a wristband. Beverage tickets may be purchased with cash or debit/credit. Bills over $20 will not be accepted. The nearest ATM is located at Bank Financial located at 5140 Main St.
