Color, Design, Printing and Collage: 1 Day Workshop

Students will create their own collage palette by using acrylics on drawing paper. Emphasis will be placed on value and contrast with awareness of design. The use of Gel plate printing will also be introduced and pattern and visual texture will be explored. Collage papers will go through a preparation process of coating with a gloss medium for a heat fusion to the watercolor substrate technique.

Students Must Bring: a lunch and drink, a small sketchbook to take notes, scissors, pencil, or pen, a 12-inch ruler, 1-plastic dollar store table cover and an apron. Each student will work with additional supplies provided by the art instructor to complete this Art Workshop.
