College Theater: The Foreigner

Hysterical comedy by Glen Ellyn’s own late Larry Shue begins when the melancholy and shy Englishman Charlie Baker joins his friend Froggy Le Sueur on a business trip to the US, landing at a fishing lodge in Georgia. Charlie doesn’t want to talk with strangers so Froggy tells his hosts that Baker is from an exotic country and knows no English. Much to Charlie’s surprise, his hosts are wonderful people, but he’s privy to devious plots being hatched against them. Charlie must step up and be the hero.
