Soprano Ann McMann will be our featured soloist with maestro Peter Lipari conducting the West Suburban Symphony.
The power of Ludwig van Beethoven's music to take your breath away has endured over the centuries. His 1808 Symphony 6 (Pastoral) is the centerpiece of this concert: it shares his love for the countryside he often roamed, with fields, streams, villagers, thunder, and serenity after the storm. You'll also be moved by his rousing Egmont (1810) and Consecration of the House (1822) overtures and lovely Ah! Perfido (1796) aria, featuring soprano Ann McMann.
