Beth Ann Duncan - Think Like an Artist Presented by Illinois Prairie Weavers

This program from an instructor we love to bring back will help weavers stay present in the creative process. While the importance of process and technique is huge, it is very easy to get lost in the minutiae and theory of weaving.  We need to step back, sometimes, and remember WHY we create.

Beth Duncan has been teaching  for 9 years, primarily at Fine Line Creative Art Center. She says, “teaching is the best way to understand a new structure or concept, because you have to learn as much as you can, to answer questions from students.“ Beth enjoys learning new structures and using color to make the cloth more interesting.

Illinois Prairie Weavers was organized in 1949 to promote and advance hand weaving. We teach, encourage, and inspire one another by sharing knowledge and resources, and providing the opportunity to learn from experienced weavers. Members come from the western suburbs and Chicago.
